My current research focuses primarily on cyanobacteria, specifically understanding the biochemistry and physiology of these organisms and their role in the environment, developing and improving genetic tools for synthetic biology applications and manipulating model cyanobacteria for production of biofuels and compounds of industrial and medical interest.
